Manchester Area Unemployment Drops in December

As released in the Bureau of Labor Statistics report last month, New Hampshire’s unemployment rate, seasonally adjusted, rose slightly from 2.6 percent in November to 2.7 percent in December. Not seasonally adjusted, the unemployment rate stayed steady at 2.5 percent in December. 

Locally, according to a newly released Bureau of Labor Statistics report released on February 1, the Manchester metropolitan area unemployment rate (not seasonally adjusted) dropped from 3.4 percent in November to 3.3 percent in December. 

Nearly three years after the COVID-19 pandemic drastically impacted local communities across the nation, New Hampshire continues to show resilience and make great progress towards recovering economic losses.

NH Voters with Disabilities Encouraged to Make a Voting Plan

Advocates for people with disabilities in New Hampshire are encouraging them to make a voting plan ahead of tomorrow’s election, by locating the correct polling station, reading up on voting rights and learning how to use accessible voting equipment.
